Breths denisI got a surprise call from my old friend few days back. We decided to catch up the following weekend for a cup of coffee. The pleasure of meeting my friend overwhelmed everything and I merrily rescheduled all my previous preoccupations. Not that I keep myself excessively busy but weekends are meant for exclusive relaxation and engagements. As per the plan I set out in the evening for this newly-opened coffee shop which they named themselves as ‘coffee-bar’. On reaching there I couldn’t locate my friend. Nevertheless I opted for a window side table and comfortably settled with my bag and coat. There is always this problem of waiting for someone in a restaurant. The waiters literally stare at you and become restless till you signal to take the order. But I didn’t surrender to this age-old tantrum of theirs and smilingly bought some time from them. Informed them that am waiting for someone and will place the order little later. I could gauge their disappointment but I chose to ignore.Ten minutes later of my arrival I saw from the window that my dear friend is parking her vehicle. Within a flicker of second she entered the bar and rushed at my table. You know how girls and that too old friend greet each other when they meet after decades. That’s what exactly happened. The uproar and shriek might have sounded cacophony to the few seated there. It didn’t deter our excitement and voiced expression of that enthusiasm. Finally the attendant arrived and we ordered cup of hot frothing invigorating coffee. Somehow I could sense that she is yet to unfurl something special. Her eyes were beaming with joy that I haven’t noticed earlier. I don’t go wrong with my intuition. Sometimes I hit a bull’s eye. It was one of those moments. She didn’t break the news. Something big was coming and this meeting is not those casual chit-chat ones. She literally asked me to finish sipping my coffee fast and like an obedient kid I did. Asked to accompany her I was too happy to oblige. I kept on pestering her where we were heading but I wasn’t fortunate in my persuasion. I was happy and intrigued at the same time.Finally we reached. Right in front of me I saw a boutique shop that houses women jewelry mainly intended for wedding and dating. The first cases that seized my instant attention were filled with glittering pairs of silver hook earrings

. I loved the interior, dcor, and the variety of jewelry that it contained. I congratulated my pal. She wanted me to pay a visit to her dream shop because among all our friends it was only I who always supported and encouraged her to convert her dream into reality. The day I went it was the day of official opening. It made day and I guess even made hers!
